We finally established a 'set list' at tonights meeting, so we now have a list of songs that we will strive to learn for public performances. Again I didn't take notes and I've waited too long to write anything down so much of the meeting other than the uke playing, I have forgotten. We did work on some of the songs from our newly created 'set list' and Jill brought in "That'll Be the Day" which we worked on as well - love that song (thanks Jill).I announced the 'NUkeS at the Library' gig - that is, some of us will be meeting at the Main Nashville Public Library on August 11th at 10am to perform at the Back to School Luau. After the 1/2 hour performance we will be giving the kids a basic ukulele lesson. The Library has 12 ukuleles for any children who show up.That's all I can remember.See you in August. |
